T-=Fansubber's Notes=-Though this film was subtitled andreleased in the US in the early 70s,No copies of that versionare known to exist.After extensive searching, theonly translation to be found is asubtitle track on a Chinese bootleg DVD.This appears to be a machine-translation from the Chinese version,Which itself may have been amachine-translation from Japanese.The result, as you would expect,is unintelligible gibberish.This translation has been madewith no knowledge of either theJapanese or Chinese languages.Instead, the Engrish subtitlesfrom the Chinese DVD havebeen used as a guide,Along with multiple viewings,both with and without subtitles,To create a plausible translation.As such, this is not a word-accuratetranslation by any standard.Though it is probably closer tothe original than, for instance, theEnglish dub of Voltron.Every attempt has been madeto convey the original story as weassume it was intended.Though some artistic libertieshave been taken to ensure thestory makes some sort of fucking sense.As much sense as is possible,considering the original content.Frankly, this film is pretty muchbatshit-crazy in any language.Enjoy the show.
