Sinopsis; Un viejo narrador le cuenta cuentos populares europeos a su sarcástico perro.
Comentario; Una entretenida y mágica serie, donde vemos a John Hurt caracterizado como "El Cuentacuentos", narrando los diversos cuentos y acompañado por su fiel perro parlanchín. Demonios, troles, brujas y demas criaturas animadas por los fx de Jim Henson. De los cuentos destacar el chico con suerte, también el cuento de Hans el hombre erizo o el cuento de los tres cuervos con una bruja con muy mala leche.
