Sinopsis: Francia, Edad Media (siglo XII). El film se inspira en la romántica relación amorosa entre el filósofo y teólogo Abelardo (1079-1142) y su joven pupila Eloísa (1101-1162). En cuanto se conocieron, se enamoraron, pero tuvieron que mantener su amor en secreto debido al voto de castidad de Abelardo.
